Learning To Adjust

Kevin keeps track of the money he earns and spends using a spending plan. He noticed that his expenses are always clumped over the same two days every week. His payday is on Thursday, and he is always "broke" by Saturday. He decided to divide his weekly pay by 8 and make that amount his daily "allowance." The extra portion each week was used for a savings account.

"It was hard at first getting used to telling myself 'no' when I wanted something right away, but now I don't mind, especially since I have already saved more than $200 toward a car when I turn 16."

Using Kevin as an example, make a list of how you could improve your own spending habits.
